Just a cold -- don't need a Doc <groan>
ha... you'll just be Sleepy then! <groans louder>
<ok... sorry, back to topic - wine, not 7UP... >
I grew weary of all the snarling, name calling and often juvenile clash of contrary assertions on the political threads, and took a ten day break from A2K. Came back this evening to take a look, but it seems worse than ever... so I landed here, looking for a convivial soul.
No lunch today, but I am drinking a glass of very good S0moma county Zinfandel. I'm not dopey, but I am a bit sleepy.
Sooner or later you'll join us in the travel games, George!

When are you heading to Coronado again?
Welcome back to A2k, George. There's no law that says you have to look at political threads where all the strife is. I try to avoid them myself, not always successfully.
Sonoma Valley Zinfandel sounds absolutely degenerate. (Congratulations!)
You know I don't care about heresy.
Is it a coincidence but I had a very good Californian Zinfandel two days ago..

Very good, yes, but compared to what - other California Zinfandels? You seem to be using a modified version of the Mercalli scale in wine rankings.
Whatever scale, I'm only shaken by Sviatoslav.
I was not making any comparison, just stating a personal feeling, which, as every other feeling, is subject to caution .
Well, thanks to Calamity, Andy, and Francis - convivial souls all. I like politics and enjoy even a spirited exchange of ideas and perspectives. However, the idiocy, group warfare and name-calling have finally repelled me - Why would anyone want to indulge in that; why did I for so long... ? Though, it does seem to have gotten much worse lately.
What have we got here? An expat Bavarian from upper San Diego; a lost Bostonian now in Hawaii; and a Lousitanian Frenchman who (wisely) likes good California Zinfandel. I'm happy to join you and would welcome a reenactment of a very pleasant meeting now a few years ago.
Yes George, we really should plan on that and have Francis bring the baguette
and some cheese. We'll contribute the Californian wine
Heck, I'll bring the baguette and some cheese; I just want to see Francis come!

You can bring some bottles with you, George, because this time we'll meet
down here.
I can tell you, roger, that georgeob has very good taste in wines - especially the reds.

Plans are being made...
Let's quote that people, Francis is making plans as we speak.....
Yes, but please don't do it for November 8 thru 14. My wife and I will be in Philly.
