cj, you're particularly confusing tonight.

Fair and balanced reporting is for journalists and news casters. Sometimes TV personalities make their opining look like news, which confuse the sheep. This is why a lot of us are so concerned with FOX news and Bill Reilly. Oprah is an individual who has her own TV show. She has no obligation to give equal airtime to both sides of a political debate.

I think that Oprah's reasoning is supportable, but as usual she is full of self importance. She seems not to be aware that her victim world view is out of favor, that she pays for putting Dr Phil on the national stage, and for her mismanagement of her school. Because she is not the hot shit that sh thinks that she is so comes off looking like she is unwilling to confront someone who disagrees with her. Because in her job perception is reality the fact that she has a rational basis for her action does not matter.

I don't watch much FOX news, I don't like the format, but, they do present the real news in a MUCH MORE FAIR AND BALANCED way than CNN, which I never watch unless I'm stuck in airports. There are a lot of broken airport CNN monitors out there where I've been stuck. CBS is even worse. The Commie Boobcasting System with Kathy Smurf is the most biased POS on the air.

She has the number one talkshow in the country, and legions of (mostly not very bright female) followers. Promoting Obama as the next coming while denying Palin, much less McCain, equal time, seems like at least an attempt at biased journalism. Equal time is equal time.
