@Olivier5,
Sam L. The got-damn busiest man in Hollywood. Smile Thanks for the heads-up. I hadn't heard of this one.

@Lash,
IMO it's an absolutely brilliant, hilarious, and even exhilarating action movie, conveying a non-trivial moral message.

@tsarstepan,
Inside Out went on my must-see list after listening to this interview with Phyllis Smith.

the interview itself is a very very special piece of art

@glitterbag,
Holmes is wonderful. Sir Ian plays a still vigorous and nattily dressed Holmes of 60 and then Holmes at the end of his life, a forgetful man in his late 80. He is brilliant in the role.

I had no idea that the Royal Shakespeare Company was broadcasting their productions to theaters. Too bad none of the theaters are near me. I have been enjoying production of the National Theatre and, less so, productions from the Stratford Ontario Shakespeare Festival. The Ontario company tends to over act.

@izzythepush,
Tonight I've been watching a marathon of W.C. Fields films. My favorite "It's a Gift" had me in stitches. It's packed with screamingly funny scenes.

@Ragman,
Carl LaFong is genius, mr. G'bag and I were almost in tears. It gets funnier every time I watch it. There is a short film that I love but I can't remember the title. WC walks in from a blizzard, states "Hello Ma, Hello Pa, it ain't a fit night for man nor beast", then a pile of fake snow is thrown in his face"

I also love Harvey, it's a great film....my other favourite film is "Arsenic and Old Lace", I never get tired of either one.

@izzythepush,
The National Theatre Live version of Othello? Who is in the lead? I saw a play called Red Velvet by the Anglo-Indian playwright married to Adrian Lester who has played Othello.

Red Velvet is about Ira Aldridge, a Black American actor, who was (I believe) the first black actor to play Othello in England and an early promoter of the naturalistic style of acting. IT is a terrific play and starred the terrific actor John Douglas Thompson.
