First tokers of Health Canada cannabis call it disgusting, want money back
OTTAWA (CP) - Some of the first patients to smoke Health Canada's government-approved marijuana say it's "disgusting" and want their money back.
"It's totally unsuitable for human consumption," said Jim Wakeford, 58, an AIDS patient in Gibsons, B.C. "It gave me a slight buzziness for about three to five minutes, and that was it. I got no other effect from it."
Pretty much figures ... a costly government program unable to put out a product equal in quality to the windowbox efforts of bleary-eyed teens.
Yup, I heard patients on the radio this morning. It's nothing but shake, apparently they ground up the whole plant - stalk and all. It's too bad. It's a progressive move on the part of the government but the producers know very little about growing the herb. The last time I checked we canucks were not suffering from a lack of rope just decent bud.
Ceili
a bit of a d'uh moment.
it's not like there aren't canajuns who already know how to grow and harvest properly.
b.c. bud is rightly (or is that righteously?) famous.
