Need above sentence translated my MSN friend sent this I know some words but I can't make any sense of it. İlhan is a name so is İstanbul, soccer is obvious

My Japanese is really bad, because we don't use it anymore; my parents-in-law used to live with us until they passed on, and even then my Japanese was half-arse. Here's my best shot:

"Watashi wa (I) Toruko ni itta koto ga arimasen (have never been to Toruko). Nihon dewa (in Japan), soccer no Ilhan ga yumei desu (soccer is a dream). Istanbul wa utsukushii machi (Istanbul village is radiant) to kiiteimasu (have heard) . Zehi ichido ittemitaito omoimasu. (would like to visit once to see, I think)"
