We found that a while ago (I think there was an article about it in the New York Times), amazing. We watched it about 5 times in a row.

It was also on Animal Planet or National Geographic in HDTV.

That was totally amazing.

Here's another similar video. Not nearly as exciting but in this one a buffalo calf spends over 10 minutes with a pride of lions trying to eat it, and the mother comes and scares them off to take the calf with her.

RG, That is just an amazing film. I've been to Africa twice on safari, and never saw anything close to that event. The closest we got to that was when we were in Zimbabwe on a night safari, and we saw a pride of lions following a group of rhinos to the water, but nothing happened. Thanks for sharing that with us on a2k.

I have seen film of buffalo attacking and running off a pride of lions, just because they could...the lions were not attacking at the time.

The buffalo managed to kill all the cubs with the pride.
