Fish update so I don't get thumbed...

Lobster is shy. Growing rapidly as well.


Beta still not the smartest fish, but is still gaining plumage.
(he likes the crustachion food better than his own...)

Update on A2K tank...

I shot photos tonite so as not to have some of the nice ladies calling PETA...

(this will be complicated, but in a few days, onomy friends will drop them here)

Plumage regrowing rapidly, and a new awareness between the players...

Experiment interrupted by unnatural disaster.

I found the Lobster (name to be released pending notification of kinfolk) on his back on the cold hard tile of the bathroom floor. I almost stepped on him, which would have ended this little jag for good (ewww)

I have run all the possible scenarios around the wide open spaces of my skull, and there is ABSOLUTELY no way the damn cat did not participate in the horror.

Best guess is I had just topped off both tanks, and he was able to reach the singular portal to freedom, where I feed them from.

Once free and able to roam, he found out what all the mice in the area already know...

As I am funding this experiment, I am going to retrieve a crayfish from the little river today and continue on my regular budget plan. (no more furrin fishes)

Update after my fishing trip, and new guppies for the big tank as well...
