Well, we have to wait for Mo then.
Yes, 13 is too old. Then again, we started early with the "birds and the bees" to make sure she understood the basics.

Beasts?

Then she should REALLY see the dolphins!

Hehe, funny enough, the first sex educational video she's seen (at age 9) was done in cartoon characters, and the sperm swimmers trying to reach the (seductive) egg where just hilarious.

That makes me wonder what the cut-off is.

And is it based more on age, or more on what the child has seen?

What Mo is going to tell you, is that if it's supposed to be a bat, it should go like this, not like that.

Oh my. I'm laughing so hard tears are running down my face. I was just rereading that report this morning wondering how to get the essential information noted by the school. I needed a good laugh. Thank you!

Sozlet (8 in November) saw nothing at first, then dolphins. I pressed (anything else?) nope, just dolphins.

Er, belay that.

She then read the description and said "well I saw that, but..." <looked slightly embarrassed.> (Where it says "a couple in an intimate love position.")

She also thinks the dolphins look more like whales. Especially the tails. (And she just corrected my grammar. I had "dolphins looks more like whales," she wasn't having that.)

She said she saw the people first, then the dolphins.

She's read birds and the bees books too though, so...

edit: she was insisting on whales, and I showed her the dolphin nose along the knee... she said "oohhhhhh." She thought the whole negative space in between the legs was a whale's tail.

The artistry doesn't seem to be very good -- I think the same idea could be done better with more obvious dolphins. (For example, what's up by her face? And there's another, extra tail by her knee.)

What intimate love position are you all talking about? Confused

Mo saw "two people playing in a puddle of water inside a jar. What a stupid picture. Can I watch cartoons now?"

I recall coming across a similar "optical illusion test" as a kid:

http://www.psych.usyd.edu.au/psyche/optical/11.jpg

The book I saw this in said that young folks will tend to view this as a portrait of a young woman shown from the back with her face looking off to the left while old folks will tend to see an older woman from the side view looking down and to the left.

I remember seeing the young woman as a kid. When I did the Google search just now to find this picture, I again saw the young woman and had to do a lot of squinting to find the old woman.

I saw the young woman, with what I thought was an anime eye....

I must be on the cusp of old age.

Look for a color difference.
Thay r set forth in black, whereas the couple were in white.

Forget "young" and "old"... are you GOOD or EVIL?

I'm happy to report that on my very first viewing, I was good. Every subsequent viewing has turned up evil, though.

That probably depends on the individual person.
