A2K censors tags?

I've just discovered that I could start a discussion using the word 'wisdom' as a tag. Even though e_browns 'wisdom of crowds' is allowable.

Anyone else noticed 'forbidden' words for tags? Are they published anywhere - can we know them hamsters?

I can tag it as wisdom. (I then removed it and put in more descriptive tags.)

The tags I add show up in "my tags." Not all of them show up in the thread's tags.

If I tag it now it's a personal tag rather than a topic tag. I think.

And I typoed in the original question. I tried to start a discussion (on aphorisms) and with wisdom as a tag and it wouldn't post until I took wisdom out. I tried lots of things before I figured that one. The error I got was about commas between tags - but that clearly wasn't the issue.

No, it's both... (it's your own personal tag but also appears as a topic tag. It can be pushed out if a bunch of other people tag it as something else, but I think that can happen even if you put it in at the very beginning, as you attempted to.)

Might be worth it to post on the "bugs" thread, if there was really no problem with the commas between tags.

And now wisdom is a tag for this thread. I'm thinking I might just go over to the e_brown side on the 'wisdom of crowds' argument.

And now it's not. And the greater the crowd there is, the less likely that this will be irrelevant (which is why ebrown is just wrong).

That being said, there are some big holes in the tag code, for example thomas tagged threads "thomas" and then learned it was not useful and changed them, but the code isn't updating the aggregates right.

A big change is coming to the tagging features and the code that uses them very soon.
