OK anyway i come home from turning in applications, and my da started tripping because i said the vacuum he uses is a peice of shit, which it is.

and then he keeps tripping and yelling and i remember thinkin oh my god im trapped here for a long time, stressing out pretty much.

But then i was stayin positive in my head just like ok hes just dumb, which he is, but then i couldnt stop thinking i was trapped here with that fuckface..

OK to the point, it started feeling like i was being stabbed in the stomach, ive had that feeling for a while but is it serious?

or is it just like pain or something?

this sucks, i dont have money to take the bus to the hospital either.

Hey, you're still here! that's good to see.

Sounds like you're having a physical reaction to the stress you're under.

You're a bit young for this, but there's an old kids song about the ankle bone connected to the foot bone etc etc ... it's true. Everything's connected in your body - including your mind.

Can you go for a run or a swim or something when you're feeling stressed?

You need to go see a Dr. You have been under a lot of stress...could be ulcers or it could be gas...either way - best to get it checked out. Please Wink

I hear that! If you must have reliable transportation, 9 times out of 10, it means they want to pay minimum wage while getting a car and driver at no extra cost.

two more good reasons to find a way to work out more right now. it'll really help.

check out the local Y - they often have a handful of free memberships for people who aren't working - some of them also have programs to help people look for work

A good time to stop smoking weed is at least 30 days before applying for a job that does drug screening.

And these days most of the jobs he's going to apply to will. This is a very good point.

OGIONIK, climb the ladder. You'll get to a rung where they don't screen anymore.

In time. I can't do it fulltime till it's profitable and I still have to work for others to support it.

Hmmm...I've had pain like that from stress....but it is likely a good idea to have a medical check if it's happening a bit.

Have you tried deep breathing?

Breathe in gently while you count to five...into the bottom of your lungs, so that your tummy rises. Hold for a bit, then breathe out slowly while counting to five...hold then breathe in ditto.

It stretches your diaphragm, which has a calming effect, and does other nice stuff if you do it for a while every day.

Re: OGIONIK (Post 3362617)
Well, some ulcers are caused by a bacteria, H. pyloris. Stomach ulcers, I think, as opposed to duodenal ulcers, but don't trust me on that. Up until fairly recently, people suffered with them for years and years, and now those where H. pyloris is involved can be treated with a round of antibiotics. (or so I think)

I'm not saying stress is not involved, since it probably exacerbates acid secretion. What am I saying? Ask your doctor about that. (This is an m.d., right?)
