I saw that article or the news of it in the Times...(sips large espresso deeply) and I was relieved and felt a little, oh what is the word I am looking for..??.... maybe a couple more weeks of these small cups and I will recall it? <grin>

B: espresso 4 tasses, grapefruit, bagel
L: chef salad with arugula yum ..what nice bite. Diet Coke and a bagel
S: a peach, really ripe
D: boiled salad on salad, no dressing except for the cocktail sauce which made an incredibly good salad dressing by itself. Big glass of wine. The last of it for awhile.

I'm off for three days in Indiana at my family reunion. I won't be tracking, but I won't go too crazy with the eating either. (Dozens of relatives will be watching every bite I take.) We'll be at a state park, so I hope to get a little hiking in, in addition to plenty of chitchat with the relatives.

Today, which is ostensibly over.. except for some ice water
weight stable-ish at 149-150

coffee x2, 1.5 tsp sugar total

a couple of swedish pancakes w/splash of maple syrup

two bowls of Red Soup

Red Soup -
cooked separately
- one onion chopped and roasted in 1 tbs canola
- 4 strips bacon sauteed and drained, pan cleaned
- several cups of water and 1/2 big can of M. Glen tomatoes simmered with 1/2 package of baby bella mushrooms chopped and two cut up chipotle chiles in adobo
1 cup of bhutan red rice added, more simmering;
the onions added with their small amount of juice;
3/4 cup previously cooked and frozen cranberry beans added as the rice was starting to get done;
2 small previously baked now skinned + diced red potatoes added with
chopped bacon, more simmering.

Voila, it worked. I would have added some sweet red pepper if I'd had any. As usual, lots left over. I explained that a lot as it's a recipe I want to remember.

two glasses Barefoot Pinot Grigio w/ice

Sodium was high

Current weight: 194.6
Difference from last week: up 2.6 lbs.; this wipes out the losses of the last 3 weeks
Overall difference: down 151.4 lbs.

This week should be better (these are cycle issues more than anything else).
