Well, the original post was serious. It's not my fault that the Anglican Church has made a decision that invites ridicule.

Despite the silly name, I still can't decide if this is progress or not. I see that providing traditional male leadership to balky congregations gives them time to adjust to the idea of female participation. But then again, maybe the change is too slow.

Not my church, so it doesn't affect me personally, but I found the ideas interesting.

My other thought is that they should just drop the pretense and redesign the mitre to be an anatomically correct penis.

females should have equal standing in all institutions, especially religion, the bible says nothing about the sex of the teachers, what if the 2nd coming brings a female christ ? boy that would get a few christians annoyed
