brilliant. But then assist me. If to be a Christian means you accept the Word of God (Jesus), and to be a Pedophiles implies you reject the word of God and are a pervert... then how can someone be so stupid as to suggest a pedophile is a Christian?

I hope that with facial recognition technology it may be possible to catch more of these sickos . I was somewhat concerned about one thing though, it became illegal to view a recorded crime . Whilst I can see it was absolutely necessary to stop the marketing of child abuse, I always worry when they invent new laws, as if people are going to say, Ah, its against the law ! Well I wont do it then...after all, that worked with drugs didnt it ?

It has been illegal in Oz for some time now, and they have caught Police Officers, Teachers, Lawyers and all manner of professionals . I havent heard about a major bust of child pornographers though .

The bible have no problem with having sex with women/children or the whole scale killings of children for that matter.

The amount of Australians that have been caught, the past few years have travelled/ resided overseas and been caught there. I believe their evil minds preyed on the poor, some by offering a better life, taking in their children.

Seems Australia has had more than it's fair share but in a worse manner Ionus.

Remember this story? Peter Gerald Scully who was caught in the Philippines recently.

The volume of people, to be honest of these twisted, evil people here in Australia disgusts me, makes me feel ashamed but hey, other Countries that have more citizens than us probably have double the amount of this. It is horrific just how many there are that have been caught, let alone haven't and all from what I can note at least from the major headline of those caught, did have pornography on their computers....

I'm not sure if the computer data led to their arrest or if it was the other way around . It baffles me as to why it is so prevalent . I suspected a close friend of molesting his daughter, so I went to the Police and they couldn't do anything without the daughters consent agreement to the facts . I can no longer tolerate him, so he is fairly sure who started the process . I also went to the Police about an episode of a neighbour who I thought was abusing his adopted daughter, together with his wife, but before the matter could be dealt with, or perhaps because of it, the little girl suicided .

The prevalence stuns me . I was a 8 yr old boy when a girl my age asked me to have sex...I said no...I didnt know what to do and it scared me...she said it was Ok, her father and her did it all the time in the shed when their mum was away .

That is "a lot" of circumstances that appear to be a major problem in this discussion. This would be difficult in scenario 1. Suspecting isn't factual. Scenario 2. This is very sad. Scenario 3, never knew of any child that young wanting sex and that's extremely sad that she though it was "ok" did you ever find out where she got to in life? It seems you have been around this a fair bit or at least you confirmed the first one at 8 years of age and worried ever since with others.

I think we also need to be careful what affects us makes us question . When the question may not be true, but the scenario 2 committing suicide makes me believe you may have been correct and able to perhaps through the first situation look for these things and try to help. For that I commend you

I am so aware of child molestation and actively look for it to stop it because I was raped when I was 5 .

I hope that you sought out help throughout your young teens/early adulthood. Things happen to everyone in life, nothing is perfect and as much as we try to control things, it doesn't always go down that path. But, we can't hold onto anything negative in our lives, life is to be enjoyed and no one should be able to take that away.

There was no help . Men are expected to tough it out . The army was a huge distraction from the reality of civilian life, though once out the wheels fell off my little red wagon . In psychology, the health system only repairs things when the equivalent of losing a leg occurs . If the leg is still there, then it is far cheaper to tell the patient to keep walking .

Yes indeed the way to stop child abused is to attacked the religion faith of roughly one third of the human race.
