You're always there for me, Walter. I love you for that.

Why do you attack me so, Mame. Just when I thought we had mended our fences you come out with your muskets loaded.

I am just.... so... tired.

You're quite big, I thought, one of the leading figures among the ersatz coffee farmers.

'Passage' has the best coffee in our town. I am sure you are all glad to know that. So if you ever come to Balingen - that's the place to go. But it might be a bit strong for the Americans...

I am still interested in your mom, Jane, and I believe I have asked you for photos in the past, but have not yet received them.

Submission, please.

And... is she as hot as you, Jane?

No, my Mom is too gullible to be introduced to a scoundrel like you.

Just hand your mom over, Jane.

Why are you being so difficult?

Moving right along, glad that CJane's mother is safe in Germany....

Hamburger, do you remember the brand name of the roaster? I've never heard of roasting coffee at home, only grinding.

My stepfather said he remembered when ground coffee became available. When his grandmother bought it, she said that she could finally throw that old grinder away. Now, those old grinders are worth lots of money (I have no idea how much--just that they are very popular).

In department stores, coffee beans are used to help women at the perfume counter clear their sense of smell by breathing in the aroma of the coffee. A bit like clearing your palate. Last time, the coffee smelled much better than the strong, musky perfumes.
