I live in NY City (Queens),
yet last summer one nite around 10,
I had a racoon step on my left foot,
as he strolled from my driveway thru my back yard.

He paused and calmly looked at me.

I like the animals in my backyard. They are fun to watch. This is one of my favorites. The cat is in a box I put outside this fall/winter and he is watching the squirrel eat.

Wow, those pictures are great. The little ones are hilarious.

This is what I saw when I went to go into the back yard this morning. Then I had to stay outside so the cat would let the raccoon eat. The raccoons are scared of the cat and the cat will chase them away sometimes.





Those little ones were demons at first. They growled and hissed at me. Then their mother chattered something to them and they were all paying attention to what she was saying. The next thing they did was try to come up to me and I had to make them stay away. I don't want them to become friendly with humans because that will get them killed.
