True, however I was hoping to narrow it down even more to the present moment rather than the entire day. Maybe that's a point that doesn't really matter though.

I see where you're going. Perhaps for the emphasis you desire, we should say
Vive in hoc puncto temporis.
Literally, that means "Live in this point of time".

Short phrase
Hello, I'd be grateful for a translation of "I'll sleep when I die."

My best guess after browsing translation dictionaries is "dormio postquam exanimus," but I'm guessing it might be more complicated than that.
