Gathering christmas trees on new years eve and building bonfires with them (and the occasional car tire) on crossroads is forbidden nowadays ... {sigh}

I'm not sure, but I think they finally prohibited them after the year it all went a bit out of hand (more than usual) and the bonfires downtown turned into a fully-fledged riot and a block or so of shops were plundered after their windows were smashed. Ten years ago maybe?

I'm sure it still doesn't stop them everywhere...
