The man spent $4000. plus to hire a hooker on St. Valentine's Eve.

Now, for at least the next six months, no matter what I forget to do (What dry cleaning to pick up?...That dinner is tonight?) or what I do (like the open milk container on the counter all night or the dirty running stuff STILL hanging on the bathroom door) ... all I have to say NABAES.

Not As Bad as Eliot Spitzer !!!

we always need someone to whom we feel superior . I also feel superior to our own Governor, ED REndell, who has the worst driving record in the fine state of PA.

yeah, my first thought was wondering what someone could do that would be worth $4K.

Must be a status symbol or something.

I spent FOUR THOUSAND dollars on a whore!
For that kind of money, he should have had her for the weekend, and had a couple of buddies come over.

The price for a weekend would have been - lessee, two times a full day - makes $20,000-$60,000, depending on whether you'd have rented a "three diamonds" or (up to) a "seven diamonds" girl.

Although the Emperors Club VIP website did say, "Inquire about our weekend and multiple day travel package rates!" So mebbe they'd have thrown in a thousand dollar off.

See the screenshots at the Huffington Post (and yes they got pictures).

(Gotta love how they branded the status of the girl in diamonds..)

I don't I feel superior (yes, I do ) But I do feel relieved . It is always good to know that there is someone in the universe so incredibly dense in comparison to oneself .

The latest reports says 5200 for two hours 'work' (much more expensive than the divorce lawyer will be.) Now, what do think is the difference, actions-activities-um- toys employed - to make up for the increase in price?

This completes the trifecta of CT-NY-NJ governors all taking a fall.

This comment on that HuPo thread made me chuckle:

The real scandal is that these models seem a little ovepriced. We've seen homes being over-valued and now it's the prostitutes! Yeah, they are hot -- but not $10,000 an hour worth of hot. Unless their gold medalists or somehow triple jointed, then I'm not seeing the added value.

And nobody is talking about how these models are driving up the cost of starter/entry level prostitutes throughout the country! Middle income Johns are being priced out of the market.

Ultimately I think this scandal is for the best. The prostitution market has needed a healthy market correction for a long time now.

On the other hand, hey, they get value for money! These Emperors Club VIP girl were... well.. no morons!

Quote:
You Can Say This About the Girls of the Emperor's Club: They're No Morons

Yesterday the Feds busted the Emperor's Club, a New York-based escort service that provided, according to their Website, "refined and successful international clients" looking for "risk-free dating … without long-term-commitment intricacies" with "exclusive, beautiful, educated companions of fine family and career backgrounds." You know, hookers. Of the four people charged with running the service, three of them were women.

http://nymag.com/daily/intel/07_smokingdiamonds_lgl.jpg

Still, from the phone records in the FBI affidavit, parts of which are up on the Smoking Gun, it didn't seem like it was a woman-friendly workplace, from the male founder who said that a would-be call girl "looks like a butcher in my opinion" to the conversation about the "baggage" a worker with kids has to the outraged indignation of an applicant who was "shock and confuse" that the company expected its employees to have sex with men who don't even take them out to dinner. But then comes a tender moment between one self-aware prostie and her pimpette.

Kristen, the prostitute, has just serviced a john. Rachelle, her boss, has asked her if he was "difficult," because, she says, this guy has asked for strange things in the past.

Kristen: "I don't think he's difficult. I mean it's just kind of like, whatever, I'm here for a purpose. I know what my purpose is. I am not a … moron, you know what I mean. So maybe that's why girls think they're difficult. That's what it is, because you're here for a purpose. Let's not get it twisted. I know what I do, you know. Rachelle: "You look at it uniquely, because no one ever sees it that way." Kristen: "I have a way of dealing with that. I'd be like, listen dude, you really want the sex? You know what I mean?"

there's nothing those girls do that can't be done after the club closes, in the privacy of your own home, with an attractive girl and all it will cost you is a few cocktails (and maybe not even that), good line of bullshit and just not being afraid to ask.

Nimh - never mind the discount, how did you miss the arbitrage possibilities evident in the implicit exchange rate $ / EU / L you just posted?

Do their bankers know about this?!
