There's a site where they show classic tv commercials and the first one is for a Mr. Microphone. There is a part in the commercial where a musician is using one during a practice session. I thought, "I bet ol Bear uses one of those."

Anyway, there were some good commercials there and I have been inspired to purchase a Mr. Microphone, just to liven up the parties around here.

This girlfriend/co-worker of mine had to haul this kareoke machine in her car across this hotel parking lot for a meeting....as I was schlepping my own boxes of stuff on foot, she leaned out the car window with the mike in her hand and shouted that out to me.

I know, sounds lame, but at the time very funny.

With a long enough antenna you could override a 1240 KC radio band. Lots of fun telling the neighborhood that the Russians just launched an attack.
In our town we had a radio station with a popular local talk show from Allentown. Wed broadcast stuff about flying saucers and Russians and war and noone ever found out. It was fun being a kid in the early 60's
