Regarding punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc....

I realize I butcher the language with the best of them, and, in all probability, before I finish typing this sentence, I will have made several mistakes, but sometimes the mere gist of WHAT you are saying requires one to choose one's words carefully.

I was just at a football board, reading about the upcoming draft and possible trades as teams jockey for position, when someone commented about the Miami Dolphins being open to trading away their #1 overall pick in the draft.

One of the responders made the suggestion that his team trade three of the starters from his team, plus swap positions in the first round, to acquire the coveted pick.

The next person responded, "Your a idiot"

Now, wouldn't you think that when you are calling someone an idiot that you would pay a little attention to your typing?

I don't know -- I thought it was funny.

I'm always calm, even when I use exclamation marks.

So: your thesis is that one ought to be more correct when calling another an idiot, than when praising?

Looking for proper grammar in a football forum, is like searching for
a rocket scientist at the looney bin.

Depends on the football forum. There are some scholars over at the Denver board.

Re: Regarding punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc....
So if his #1 draft pick was his "a idiot". Does that mean his #2 pick was his "b idiot"?

Parados shot in ahead of me and made a new page - so I'm repeating my question.

What does the game have to do with anything, Green Witch? We were discussing the draft.

The game is not this Sunday, but the following.

My friend and I once saw a graffito that referred to someone as "a BICTH"... so now we pronounce it that way.

Maybe the person had a grafitti impediment, Wy. Don't be so quick to judge.
