You know the Bounty is taking passengers from CA to HI Shocked
It is a one month cruise and you would get to know everyone very close.

Just about every one of these ships has its own arrangements for paying guests, as well as for organised groups, so you don't have to be "chosen" if you'd rather do your own thing.
And some of the STA ones (Stavros Niarchos for example) do short trips and one-day sails from time to time)
What am I, an expert? No, but a web search would turn up plenty details.

Switch on your sound for this one

We sailed from Oslo to Rouen. Did I mention this before?

Thanks Mac...

No... I didn't know - I thought you were on a cruise liner.... Very Happy Have you got any photos yet????????????? Would love to see.

Regarding my eldest boy - he's 15 right now and I don't even know if he would agree to do it or whether he would be permitted - but if one of the STV's do the week/month trips for kids.... then I reckon that would a huge experience for him. Thanks for posting that link - wouldn't have thought to do that or even know the Ships were going to be in Falmouth Very Happy

The youtube was brill. Gosh - Asgard was no-where even close to being as refined as that ship.... washing machines, laptops, curtains on the berths...... that was luxurious. What a great film. LOVE IT! Razz

I'll post a few if you would like. I did not take any myself, but took a few last time which might serve to show the ship and rig. My dear wife took some this time, and some from up high within the rig, too. She's a game girl.

The sails reflect the colour of the....sunrise, I think it was.
We were on the 4-8 watch, and sunrise was around 05:40

I think so.

Glad you like the pix, Izzie. On a sailing ship, esp on a nice day, it's difficult to take a bad 'un!

(er, no disrespect intended to the photographer, who mostly wasn't me this time!)

... and a really good photo!

(However it shows a faux pas done by the first mate or whoever was in command: you can't show position lights while mooring ...)

Tacoma was named Port of the Year by the American Sail Training Association. This prestigious honor was awarded this past weekend at ASTA's annual conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

While the Port of the Year award is based on overall performance of a host
city, a significant portion of the award is based on voting by the captains and crews of the participating ships.

Oh, they thought we were nice Very Happy
