BARBECUED FRUITY BAKED BEANS
An original recipe by BumbleBeeBoogie

2 - 16-ounce cans of pork and beans, drained
3/4 cup K.C. Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce
1/3 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons apricot jam or preserves
1/2 cup drained crushed pineapple, drained
1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled, cored and chopped
1 large onion, chopped, and sauted in 1 teaspoon of oil until soft
3 strips thick-sliced peppered bacon, uncooked, cut in half

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Mix all ingredients together (except the bacon) in a 2-quart casserole dish. Top with the strips of uncooked bacon. Bake uncovered for 1 hour.

Looks like a good recipe for baked beans. Does it re-heat well?

Beth, reheating is easy, especially in a Microwave oven. Just be sure to cover them with a microwave dish cover because beans have a tendency to pop in a Microwave and you would have a big mess to clean up.

Beth, just be careful to keep your hat's ostrich feathers out of the beans.
