BROWNIE CARAMEL WALNUT PIE
By BumbleBeeBoogie

1 - 9-inch UNBAKED pastry shell
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
20 caramels, unwrapped
1 - 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 - 6-ounce package semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

Sprinkle the nuts into the unbaked pastry shell.

In a small saucepan, over low heat, melt the caramels with 2/3 cup of the sweetened condensed milk, stirring. Pour over the walnuts.

In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, butter and remaining sweetened condensed milk; mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. Pour the chocolate mixture over the caramel layer.

Bake for 35 minutes or until center is set. Cool. Garnish with whipped cream sweetened with 1 teaspoon of brown sugar and vanilla extract, topped with walnut halves. Refrigerate any leftovers.
