NEED TO VERIFY JAMES THURBER SIGNATURE

I bought a collection of short stories by JAmes Thurber . its only listed as 1941 Pub (so theres no im plied "1st ed") . It is signed
"To Jock --Thurber"

No James or J. I dont know whether its a real sig or a fake. ANyone have a source of signatures to compare?

I got the book in a pile of others that included a couple of old mining machinery catalogs (they were my target). The Thurber book, has no dust jacket , and seems to be his early stuff,(before Thurber Carnival or Thurber Country " collections
