Cable Phone Service/How Does it Compare To Regular Service?

Right now I have Bright House Road Runner for my computer, and Verizon for my regular phone service. As prices are increasing, I am looking to cut some expenses. I spoke to someone at Bright House, who offered me a pretty good deal on an internet, tv and phone deal.

My question is: How does phone service through a cable company compare to service through a phone company? Is the voice quality satisfactory? I have a cellphone, so I would not be phoneless if the electricity went off, and the phone was not working.

I would love to hear of some experiences with cable phone service before I make a decision.

We have some cable lines for the business. The only problem is that they go out when the cable does. Usually this occurs on a weekend and for very short durations. Im still not 100% sure of bulletproof service. SO we maintain a land line . Phone service over cable has saved my company many hundreds per month.
