When I occasionally get a call, I immediately tell them that I am on the DNC list, and to remove my name. One orgaization (it might have been political) told me that his organization was exempted from the list (true). I told him that it made no difference to me, that I was not interested. click!
Phoenix - Great idea. Whenever we get an actual person calling we do the same thing. Unfortunately, many of these calls are recorded messages. Sometimes the messages will say to press a number to be removed from their calling list, but then you have to listen to the entire message because maybe they will give you that option.
Jim- Recorded messages get my "click" as soon as I realize that it is a nuisance call.
