@margo,
I know.

And Nancy allows me to go into New York City all by myself...without a note pinned to my shirt!

Oh, well...I am glad I finally realize Boida is Roberta.

I just finished rereading the first 20 or so pages of this thread. A magical experience that reminded me of the A2K that once was .... humor, irony and friendly banter. I miss it.

@georgeob1,
george, Humor, irony, and friendly banter. True. Also, people who stayed on topic. And some wonderful people who are no longer around.

Shouldn'ta reread some of this thread. Now I'm in the mood for chopped liver. My supermarket doesn't sell liver. What's a goil to do? Sigh. It's always something.

@Ragman,
Hey, even if you are chopped liver, you're too far away to do me much good.

@Roberta,
The only decent chopped liver somewhat near me is 45 minutes away. On a few occasions, I have traveled to that restaurant to get my matzo ball soup, chopped liver, and rugalah.

I think that finding this discussion today is giving me the urge. It's been too long,

@panzade,
I'm with you. I have been back (somewhat) on A2K recently. I find that the only threads that I will join, are the innocuous ones. I don't need the aggravation.

Watched a show last night about Jewish comics.

This was my favorite joke that was told.

A mother at the beach with her eight-year-old son screams in despair as he is dragged out by a rip current.

She looks up at the sky and implores the Lord to bring her child back safely.

All of a sudden a huge wave deposits her son back on the beach.

She looks up to the heavens and shouts...”He had a hat!”

@snood,
I think, it could be the Yiddish term "oy gevalt" (from German: Oh. Gewalt.),English: "oh, violence".
