Ever finked out on a project?
Ever finked on someone?
Have you or someone you love ever been borked?
Do you spend any time wondering whether or not your family name will become associated with something completely unrelated to your loved ones?
Do you think my friend Ruby Frankenstein should change her name?
How about my neighbor Howard Quisling?
Should the great family of Vicks now hunker down for a generation of bad jokes? (Yeah, he's a Vick, a convict.)
Was the name Crapper once proud one to have and hold?
Will the name Ponzi ever recover it's plainness?
Can we ever be Scot-free and in like Flynn?

Is English the only language which does this kind of thing with names or can you give an example or two from other tongues?

At least northern Europe has a mixture of names like you mentioned.
Frankenstein is German, the name Quisling got its bad reputation from Norway.
Many names refer to a trade others to a quality in a person, good, bad, nasty, tall small (all translated) others refer to nature birch, fox etc.

Here is a link.

well, the only guy I know is Richard Brane, (never call him Dick).

A Dahmer has unusual gustation habits.

I think that "Bushing" will become synonymous with "not having a clue"

I once heard a story about a large man named William who was going into medicine. He did not think that his nickname, "Big Bill", would sould very appealing to his patients! Laughing
