Whatever happened to....?

Elementary school.....1978.....6:30 a.m. every weekday morning before school ~ Speed Racer. I fell in love with that character every single day for quite a while.

Rae, I'm afraid I have some bad news. Speed Racer was killed in a fiery car accident, somewhere in the Alps, in the early part of February, 1985. He had been drinking quite heavily and lost control of his car on a curve. He died instantly upon impact.

From what I've been told, he couldn't handle being out of the spotlight. When his show was cancelled, he started losing his hair, drank heavily, and tried all sorts of illegal drugs. So sad.

I really liked "Dark Shadows."

I've never seen any of those actors again. LOL! They were really bad.

Wow! I haven't heard the mention of Dark Shadows in a very long time. I use to watch it when I was a kid and the acting was really bad, lol!

Barnabas and Josette end up together again, but I don't know what happens to that wacko nurse who had such a disgustingly codependent crush on him or what happened to Angelique.

Wendy grew up and married one of the bad ghosts - Caspar kind of faded away...he became a ghost of his former self - I guess he just Went Up? You know - on to the Next Stage?

Quentin, via Dark Shadows, is the only actor who made it to the big time--though he was kept in the 'shadows' so to speak because of, well, bad acting.

Angelique was on a 'yachters kidnapped on the high seas movie of the week.'

I think Dr. Julia was killed by an out-of-control boom mic on the set of Dark Shadows... How many mics did you see dipping into the scenery on that show? Barnabas had to duck a couple of times. (And, of course, they left it in the scene...)

I wanted to marry Quentin when I was 7. Did anyone catch the Dark Shadows remake starring Ben Somebody (Cross?) in the early 90's? Loved the mood, and the story--when I could keep up with it.

PS-- Did Greg 'do it' with Mrs. Brady?

Greg not only "did it" with Mrs. Brady, but Alice as well. Why do you think she was always whistling.

He had a better chance with Mike Brady.

Gosh... It was so long ago that I don't even remember if I caught the end of it. I'm sure I did though since I use to watch it all the time.

Ok, so Casper can't die, but I was just a kid and at the time and I thought he could die. They never had Casper lessons in school :-(

Dark Shadows runs on the Sci-Fi channel on my cable system. It's a daily show.

I'm wondering about Rooty Kazootie. Anyone know what happened to this little guy?
